I love this time of the year! There always seems to be the sense of something wonderful about to take place. When I was younger, it was the excitement of parties and presents. As I got older, it became the fun of making preparations--decorating the house, shopping for gifts, wrapping presents and baking cookies. But now, I understand that the joy of this season comes from knowing what has already taken place--that Jesus Christ was born, bringing hope to the world! This is what we remember and celebrate, and this is what brings true joy and lasting peace, not just at the holidays but throughout the year. As we enjoy the company of our loved ones and the festivities of the season, may we take the time to reflect upon the one who made it all possible.
John 10:10
"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."

Things have gotten quite festive in our home these past few weeks. For the first time ever, we had an actual gingerbread house! This is how it looked like before it was devoured piece by piece by various members of our household.
