Peter Pan

Wendy: "Where do you live?"
Peter Pan: "Second star to the right, and then straight on 'til morning."

On a night such as this, one could actually imagine looking up and seeing Peter, Wendy and the boys flying through the starlit sky.

I never read the book growing up, but everyone is familiar with this childhood classic. A British production debuted in San Francisco and we took my mom to go and see it. It was magical and delightful!

The Academy of Sciences

Not only is the Bay Area blessed with a wealth of natural beauty, there is an abundance of activities to enjoy. It's been fun taking Andre to all the different museums in the area, including this newly renovated one in Golden Gate Park.

Orlando Vacation

Things have been so busy that I realize I never got around to posting some photos of our Orlando trip in the spring. Here are just a few of nearly a hundred.

The midway guy was so nice that even though Andre didn't actually hit a balloon, he got a prize anyway.

Summer Hikes

So far, we've managed to squeeze in two separate hikes this summer--one at Muir Woods and another at Bothe State Park. Here are some photos from both....

Fabulous Fourth

This year the Fourth of July fell on a Sunday, which I found to be appropriate. As a Christian, not only am I thankful for the freedoms our country enjoys, but for the freedom we have in Christ. In Him, we are free indeed--free from the bondage of sin and free to be forgiven! How fortunate we are for these blessings.

To celebrate, we spent some time with family and dear friends around the table, sharing a delicious and hearty meal. As we are all big foodies, and funny enough, were in possession of the same cookbook (below), those who contributed used various recipes from Thomas Keller's latest and greatest. Yummy!!
