Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day we headed over to Sonoma Square.  Boy, was it hot and packed!  It seemed that plenty of other families decided to celebrate the main men in their lives at this location as well, for the park was filled with picnickers and revelers alike.  Incidentally, my sister and brother-in-law bought ice cream cones, and they were melting faster than they could consume them!! All in all, it was a nice, laid back yet festive atmosphere for the occasion, and we're glad we went despite suffering a terrible allergy attack as a result.

At the Drive-In

Summertime calls to mind a number of things for me. Long days of sunshine ending in warm, clear nights, picnics and barbecues, ice cream and lemonade, outdoor concerts, trips to the beach and even more frequent trips to the local pool. Among one of my favorite summer pastimes is going to the drive-in, which we had the pleasure of doing last night with some family and friends.
